Stubbie Asym | For Tommy

Stubbie Asym | 5’9” x 20 ½” x 2 5/8”

First off, I must say a massive thank you to Tommy for being so open minded in placing this order! After telling me how much he’s enjoyed riding his 5’8 Fish over in Oz, but wanting to progress on his backhand, I was quick to recommended this model. I explained the pros of all the design elements and how they work together. He said ‘that sounds dreamy’ I said ‘ideal’, and with that I had my first commission for an asymmetrical.

You won't regret it buddy!

Longer

…well at least for me.

After doing a lot of research into Displacement Hulls I decided to take the plunge and shape one for myself. To ease myself into hulling, I’m planning on making this one as user friendly as possible by using and Tri Plane Hull and 60/40 rails, rather than the traditional fully rolled bottom and bladed rails. I’m aiming the design to sit somewhere between a Mandala TPH and an Andreini Vaquero, with the overall dimensions being 6’8” x 21 1/2” x 2 7/8”.

Egg | 7'0

Smooth flowing lines, just the way Eggs should be.

I’ve softened the rails out of the back of this one to make it a little more forgiving but kept the nose and tail foiled out. Bottom contours run from flat in the nose, to single concave under the front foot, double concave with vee through the fin cluster and flat off the rounded pin.
